Malaysia's data center landscape is moving quickly. As capacity grows and AI workloads reshape infrastructure requirements, the conversation cannot be about compute alone. Higher-density environments place greater demands on the infrastructure behind them, from resilient power and cooling to life safety, monitoring and system integration.

Earlier this year, our team joined industry stakeholders at the launch of Digital Realty's Malaysia operations, where the conversation centred on powering Malaysia's AI-ready future. It reinforced something we see increasingly in our own work - as the technology inside the data center advances, the infrastructure supporting it has to advance with it.

For GreenBay, that means bringing our capabilities in critical power, cooling, life safety and data centre infrastructure together, with the engineering, integration and lifecycle support needed to make these systems work as one.

AI-ready infrastructure needs more than advanced technology. It needs the engineering behind it.

GreenBay CES (EM) Sdn. Bhd. is now registered for Mechanical and Electrical works with the Unit Pendaftaran Kontraktor dan Juruperunding (UPKJ), Sarawak's contractor and consultant registration body under the State Financial Secretary's Office.

This marks another step in strengthening our local capabilities in Sarawak and expands the foundation from which we can pursue and support opportunities within the state's procurement ecosystem. Backed by GreenBay's wider engineering, integration and lifecycle support capabilities, we continue to build our presence closer to the customers and critical environments we support.

A look back at GreenBay Eaton Day 2026, held on 15 October at Penang Marriott Hotel.

Under the theme “From Grid to AI: Enabling the Next Generation of Digital Infrastructure,” the event brought together customers, consultants and industry partners to explore the evolving demands of critical infrastructure, with particular focus on Medium-Voltage Solid-State Transformers (MVSST), AI data centre cooling and emerging power technologies.

Beyond the technical sessions, we were pleased to welcome our guests as VIPs, with personalised journal engraving as part of our appreciation for their continued trust and support.

Our sincere thanks to everyone who joined us.

A technology partnership should deliver more than access to products. It should strengthen the expertise behind them. Through technical training and knowledge sharing with our technology partners, GreenBay continues to deepen our team's understanding of the systems we support, from the technology itself to its application in critical environments.

Sessions like this with HITEC are part of that process, strengthening the technical knowledge behind our Dynamic UPS capabilities. Supporting critical infrastructure means more than supplying the technology. It means understanding it.

A UPS can come from a trusted manufacturer. But who installs, tests, commissions and supports it matters just as much.

Critical power work should not be treated as general electrical work. It requires the right competency, technical knowledge and product expertise.

At GreenBay, our technical team is backed by ST-recognised electrical competencies across different levels and scopes, complemented by ongoing manufacturer and technical training. We assign appropriately qualified personnel to each stage of the work, from installation and testing through to commissioning and lifecycle support.

For critical power, having enough hands isn't enough. They need to be the right hands.

Two productive days at IDECS 26 (International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak), connecting with industry professionals and exchanging perspectives on the infrastructure supporting Sarawak’s digital development.

Together with Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS), Gamuda, Solarvest and Huawei, GreenBay participated in a collaborative showcase that brought together complementary capabilities across technology, renewable energy and critical infrastructure.

Among the highlights were a series of infrastructure models illustrating modular data centre environments, integrated IT systems, UPS and battery solutions. These models gave visitors a more tangible view of the different systems that work together behind reliable digital operations.

For GreenBay, IDECS 2026 provided a valuable platform to contribute our experience in engineering and integrating critical infrastructure, while engaging with others working towards a more capable and resilient digital future.

Here are some highlights from the event.
