Recent news coverage highlighted the importance of preserving historical buildings, following the Sultan of Selangor’s visit to Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad.

Built in 1894, this iconic landmark represents Malaysia’s rich administrative and cultural heritage. The Sultan emphasised that such heritage assets must be continuously preserved and not neglected due to cost considerations.

☀️ The Beauty & Challenge of a Glass / See-Through Sun Roof

A glass sun roof gives you natural daylight, modern aesthetics, and that premium architectural feel. But what many building owners don’t see… are the maintenance challenges that come with it.

From the outside, it looks perfect.
From the inside, even a small failure can mean leaks, stains, and costly damage.

🔎 Common Challenges of Glass Sun Roofs:

1️⃣ Water Seepage at Joints
Glass panels rely heavily on sealants and joint systems. Once sealant ages, shrinks, or cracks — water finds its way in.

2️⃣ Movement & Expansion
Glass and metal frames expand under heat. Malaysia’s hot sun + heavy rain = constant movement stress on joints.

3️⃣ Ponding Water Issues
