Historically, the founder, Farid, was unofficially set up a brand name called Borneo Fish Cracker (BFC) in early 2013 which purposed to make an original version of Keropok Lekor (fish sausage) to cater markerts around Kota Kinabalu city, the capital state of Sabah, East Malaysia. In early 2014, he changed the name to Lekor Pak Ajis, after realised that the latter name is sounding a bit traditional
ly and helps to increases the demands among Malay-speaking buyers. Throughout its first opening in 2013 up to 2015, as as result of a slower pace of orders which leads to such a low-profit earning, and worried with the future of the business itself, Farid in early 2016 decided to invite his close friend, Faiz, an electrical entrepreneur, to act as a co-founder, and both of them have agreed to set up a new brand called Lekor Kick in April 2016. Their first tagline of product is Terlebih Sedap. In early May 2016, assist by Farid`s sister Fifi, the three of them started a new entity called Gerai Rejeki Kita (later in June 2016 registered to F&F Berjaya Enterprise) that manages the brand Lekor Kick. In the same month, they have officially opened their first kiosk selling Keropok Lekor (freshly cooked and serves hot) in Sembulan Bazaar, located at the heart of Kota Kinabalu city centre. The period between May to September is a golden period to Lekor Kick as the kioks have receives such a great number of customers and orders, and creates many loyal buyers. In mid-September 2016, as the country`s economy become slower and indirectly affect their financial flow, co-founder Faiz decided to left Lekor Kick entirely and and acts only as an distributing agent since then. In early November 2016, after a series of talks, Farid invites another friend, Mutaal, a seafood supplier, to co-operate and to run the kiosk. In the end of the month, Farid withdraw from any front-selling activity in the kiosk, focusing only on the production process at home, thus allowing Mutaal to acquire a full-stake control at Sembulan. Distracted by his own seafood business, he eventually put his workers to take care of it. In early December 2016, the kiosk in Sembulan was temporarily closed down due to absence of workers, and Farid decides to re-opening the historical kiosk in early February 2017. This time, he invites another friend who has a lot of experiences handling the street food-stall, Kamsah. In January 2017, Farid changed the tagline to Memang Kick
