Here are some responsibilities of a Stock Manager:
Inventory management
As a stock manager, your primary responsibility would be to manage the stock levels of the warehouse. Here are common duties you may perform as part of inventory management:
1. Monitoring the stock of a company's raw materials, unfinished goods and ready-to-sell items
2. Performing physical inventory counts daily, weekly and monthly to ensure the data records match the actual inventory levels
3. Placing purchase orders with suppliers to replenish stock
4. Collecting and analysing historical data using to analyze the different quantity of the inventory
5. Working with inventory management software to track inventory levels, set reorder points, manage purchase order and generate reports
6. Determining the safety stock levels to reduce the risk of stock outs on every delivery and shipment that happens in the warehouse to ensure quality and inventory control
7. Coordination with sales, logistics and production to streamline the inventory management process
8. Generating the inventory reports where necessary, performing inventory control in timely basis.
9. Co-ordinate with Financial accountant with the inventory tracking, reporting and problems solving.
10. To prepare monthly closing stock listing with details stock number
11. Prepare and maintain production records, reports filing, stock calculation in excel, costing calculation and selling price lists.
