Empowering Education Through Solar ☀️

Ectech Energy Group is proud to announce the recent installation of a new solar power system at The Palapa Society Campus, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing education and opportunities for local youth.

This system will not only vastly lower their electrical bills but will also keep the school open during the frequent power outages that plague the area(Sorry Kids!).

This project was made possible through the generous support of YachtAid Global, who funded the entire system, and through the incredible work of their volunteers who joined our team onsite. Together, we delivered a clean, reliable, and sustainable power solution that will reduce operating costs and allow more resources to support students and educational programs.

A huge thank-you to the staff, volunteers, and everyone at The Palapa Society and YachtAid Global for their commitment to uplifting our community. We are honored to collaborate with organizations that share our values of sustainability, education, and giving back.

The federal government suspended the DAC tariff to help CFE customers during COVID. It has recently been re-instated and many are seeing sudden increases in their electrical bills.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗙𝗘’𝘀 𝗗𝗔𝗖 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗳?

In Mexico, electricity customers who exceed a certain monthly consumption limit are automatically placed on the DAC (Doméstico de Alto Consumo) tariff. Unlike the regular residential rates, the DAC tariff has no government subsidy and charges a much higher price per kilowatt-hour. Once a household is in the DAC bracket, bills can rise dramatically and stay high until consumption drops below the threshold for several consecutive billing cycles.

For many homeowners, this means:

Unexpected spikes in electricity bills.

Difficulty returning to lower rates, since it requires sustained lower usage.

Long-term dependence on CFE’s fluctuating prices.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲

Installing a solar energy system helps avoid or escape the DAC tariff by producing clean power at home. Every kilowatt-hour generated reduces your grid consumption and lowers the total registered by CFE. This means:
