MDK Leadership on the Ground in Malawi 🇲🇼

Our Operations & Marketing Director and MDK Co-owner, Eddie Nyasulu, is currently in Malawi and has begun visiting and inspecting all of our projects in Lilongwe.

Over the coming days, we'll be sharing highlights from these inspections—giving you a closer look at the work happening on the ground.

Building a strong home starts long before the concrete slab is poured.

One of the most overlooked stages of construction is foundation backfilling. After the foundation walls are complete, carefully selected soil is brought in, placed in layers, and properly compacted before the slab is cast.

Why does this matter?

✅ Provides stable support for the floor slab.
✅ Helps minimize future settlement.
✅ Reduces the risk of cracks caused by uneven ground.
✅ Creates a solid base for the next stage of construction.
