A TikToker's Mosquito Experiments Are Drawing Dexter Comparisons

A TikTok creator has earned a genuinely unsettling nickname. Fans dubbed him the internet's "mosquito serial k*ller." He documents bizarre experiments on the insects constantly. He then preserves their bodies inside a notebook.

The creator posts under the name Fatsocat online. He built a following through close-up insect videos. His campaign against mosquitoes draws the most attention, though. Some experiments have pulled in as many as 19 million views.

His methods go far beyond simple swatting. He captures mosquitoes alive before subjecting them to tests. He has exposed larvae to rat poison, glow stick liquid. He even pitted one against an ant-mimicking spider.

The most shared video is especially grim. He traps a blood-filled mosquito inside a syringe. He then pulls cigarette smoke into the chamber repeatedly. "Feeling dizzy is perfectly normal at this point," he narrates.

Once each subject stops moving, it joins the collection. He tapes it into a notebook beside previous victims. Handwritten dates accompany every single preserved insect. Entries reportedly stretch from May 30 through June 24.

That calm narration fuels the Dexter comparisons directly. A Reddit compilation earned over 31,000 upvotes in a day. "There were no signs," joked the top comment. One viewer admitted they finally felt bad for mosquitoes.
