lexible Waterproof Coating
DESCRIPTION: Flexible Waterproof Coating is a hybrid acrylic liquid waterproofing and protective coating. Flexible waterproof coating upon curing forms a tough flexible and durable coating which is resistant to UV and other weathering agents.
SCOPE: The product is designed for all areas subject to water pooling such as flat and sloping roofs as well as water tanks and swimming pools. Flexible Waterproof Coating is a flexible coating, which stretches twice that of its original size. It covers the fine cracks developed on the roofs, sloping during curing and ageing of concrete. It does not allow the water to pass through the film thus stopping the water leakage. Over coating of the compound that contains light fast pigments helps to keeps the roof cool during summer season. Flexible Waterproof Coating provides a water resistant, flexible, long life finish reducing maintenance time and cost. The product does not soften in hot weather conditions and is easy to keep clean and re-coat. Ideal for all roofs, especially flat roofs.
Flexible Waterproof Coating is designed & ideally suited for areas requiring overlay of tiling ensuring excellent adhesion for all cementitious tile adhesives, epoxy grouts and others.
APPLICATION FIELDS:
• For renovation of old surfaces.
• On foundations and walls subject to fresh & sea water tanks, basements & damp locations.
• On places for which waterproofing and protection is desired against water ingress.
• On concrete surfaces for protection against carbonization and chlorine.
• On concrete piers and screeds such as exposed verandas.
• External damp proofing of backfilled areas.
• As a waterproof layer under the tiling in concrete pools.
• Waterproofing of wet area like bathrooms, toilet, public shower &kitchen
• Waterproofing of metal sheet
Being a flexible hydrophobic isolation compound with a very high resistance against chlorine and sea water. Flexible Waterproof Coating is highly suitable for use in places threatened by these factors.

Heat Reflectance
Flexible water proof coating offers 80% reflection of solar energy providing the following advantages:-
• Minimises surface temperature gain.
• Prevents roof degradation of existing substrate.
• Minimises expansion/contraction experienced with
• temperature changes extending the life of the roofing system.
• Decreases energy consumption
SURFACE PREPARATION & PRIMING
The concrete surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned and free from laitance, dust, dried algae, loose material, oil, grease, etc. Old/repainted surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned by mechanical means such as wire brushing and/or by high pressure water jet cleaning.
All surface cracks more than 2 mm and up to 5 mm width should be filled with flexible waterproof coating as appropriate. Cracks more than 5 mm and all separation gaps should be filled with Ceram fix-Pro as specified after opening the crack to a “V” cut.
Recommended Primming surface
Concrete & masonary surfaces: primer grip
Steel, aluminium, galvanised steel & zinc: Primer Grip 2coat
Bituminious or asphalt surfaces: Consult Ascent Renovators Co ltd 5756 2505
Previously coated substrates: Primer Grip 2 coat
previously coated or primed surfaces: The old surface should be thoroughly scrubbed with detergent and water, then sanded or wire brushed to ensure mechanical adhesion. Seal with Primer Grip 1 coat
Crumbling walls : consult Ascent Renovators Co ltd 5756 2505
Overcoating: old cementitious water proofing Clean the surface, then apply a single coat Primer Grip and allow to dry for one to two hours.SPREADING RATE: 35/m ² per 25kg /3coat application . Recommended spread rate for best performance when used in high humidity environments is a 5 coat application.
THINNER / CLEAN UP: Water. After use clean the equipment immediately with water.
PACK SIZES : 6kg & 25kg
Color : White ( color on development )
Storage: Keep in cool and dry place, under the shade, away from heat.
Shelf Life :12 months in original unopened sealed condition
IMPORTANT: DO NOT OVER THIN. DO NOT APPLY WHEN RAIN IS EXPECTED. THE COMPOUND FILM SHOULD BE PROTECTED FROM WATER AT LEAST FOR 24 HOURS AFTER APPLICATION.
Health & Safety
• Avoid contact with skin / eyes and avoid swallowing.
• Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid inhalation of vapour.
