A&C.E. Luca Caruso successfully delivered a presentation regarding the upcoming renovation works for a town house date 1960s located in TaGiorni (Malta)
The Architect in charge Antoine Zammit from Studjurban designed a careful retrofit strategy that planned only specific selective demolitions and expanded the available indoor space at the second floor.
was tasked to
✅️ to analyse local climate data of TaGiorni (Malta) and identify potential for natural ventilation.
✅️ to calculate Uvalues and thermal mass of the renovated walls.
✅️ to predict the overall building performance via hourly simulations (iso 52016) and give recommendations on the envelope design.
✅️ to assess the heating and cooling capacity of the reversible heat pump including the presence of mechanical ventilation.
