Employment - Plumber (Commercial)
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plumbers will be required to:
1. Perform and oversee manual work for all phases of commercial plumbing projects, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget;
2. Assemble, install, commission, maintain, fault find and test various aspects of commercial plumbing projects, system components and/or systems as instructed, conducted in accordance with Company requirements;
3. Verify equipment to be used according to the job card, client exigencies and system limitations;
4. Prepare and submit required reporting paperwork/certification work/documentation;
5. Perform occasional painting, plastering, plumbing, tiling and carpentry works as required.
6. Serve as Team Leader, by planning and scheduling work on assigned site, coordinating and monitoring work among site team members, ensuring required equipment, materials and tools required for the job are available and that company property assigned to the team is used appropriately, well taken care of and accounted for.
SALARY RANGE: between €13,500 - €16,000 gross per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications
NECESSARY SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Able to communicate clearly in English or Maltese;
• Relevant experience in similar role (min. of 5 years in case of skilled Plumbers);
• Hands-on experience working with power tools;
• Basic literacy and numeracy (for daily report writing);
• Able to work on own initiative and work as part of a team;
• Must have own means of transport and a clean police conduct;
For the purpose of meeting the requirements of this role, the employee will be required to operate power tools, lift and or carry equipment and tools, work from ladders, scaffolds and roofs, working in cramped workspace and outdoors subjected to weather conditions. As the employee may be required to drive a Company vehicle, must be in possession of a valid driving license.
