Today marks a proud milestone for all of us. 🇲🇳 🇮🇹 🇫🇷 🇬🇧
Bechu & Associés, IQP Italdesign, SOA Architecture, Embix, Atelier Ten, The Climate Company, Mic-Hub, Parc Nouveau and Robert Bird and Partners, we are thrilled to announce that our team has been awarded First Prize in the International Competition for the Urban Planning Concept of the New Satellite City “Hunnu City,” organized by the Government of Mongolia.
This competition challenged participants to imagine a city that responds to the needs of the 21st century—cities that can adapt, include, regenerate, and inspire.
Our approach was built around one central belief: that future cities must be places where people, nature, and technology coexist in balance. With this in mind, we developed a proposal that weaves ecological systems into the urban fabric, prioritizes community well-being, and creates a strong sense of place rooted in local identity and global responsibility.
Winning this competition is not only a recognition of our design vision, but also of the strength of collaboration. All the companies of the team brought diverse perspectives—from environmental engineering to social research, from landscape planning to mobility systems—and their insights were essential to shaping a cohesive masterplan.
We extend our gratitude to the organizers and jury for recognizing the work and to our fellow participants whose ideas push the boundaries of what cities can become.
We are excited to continue developing and sharing this project, and we look forward to engaging with partners, communities, and stakeholders as the vision evolves.
More updates, visuals, and behind-the-scenes stories coming soon.
