Extending a mountain cabin while making it feel like one complete home. 🏡🏔️ For this project, we built an extension to an existing mountain cabin. The main goal was clear: the new and old parts should blend naturally together, without feeling like two separate buildings.

From the proportions and rooflines to the timber details and finishes, every element was considered to create one harmonious whole. The result is more space while preserving the original character and atmosphere of the mountain home.

FAQ: Do I need mosaic tiles in the shower? We highly recommend them.

The small joints between mosaic tiles create extra grip underfoot, making the shower more comfortable and safer to use.

Another important advantage is drainage. Shower floors need a slight slope towards the drain, and mosaic tiles adapt to these subtle angles much better than large-format tiles. This allows water to flow away more efficiently, helping to prevent puddles from forming.

It's a small design choice that makes a big difference in both comfort and everyday functionality.
