This building, located within the premises of the Teaching Hospital, is designed by Archiserve. The Wayamba Cancer Society will oversee the construction of the ground and first floors, while the remaining floors will be built by the Ministry of Health. The building will house various facilities, including theaters, wards, intensive care units, palliative care units, clinics, doctors' residential units, an office for preventive care services, and an auditorium.

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 (වරලත් ගෘහ නිර්මාණ ශිල්පියෙක්) යනු කවුද? සරල නිවසේ සිට සංකීර්ණ මහා පරිමාණ ඉදිකිරීම් දක්වා වූ ඔහුගේ භූමිකාව.

🏛️ 𝟬𝟭. අවකාශය සහ මිනිස් ජීවිතය යා කරන නිර්මාණකරු

වරලත් ගෘහ නිර්මාණ ශිල්පියෙකු යනු හුදෙක් ගොඩනැගිලි සැලසුම් අඳින්නෙකු පමණක් නොව, මිනිස් ජීවිත හැඩගස්වන අවකාශයන් (Spaces) නිර්මාණය කරන උපාය මාර්ගික නිර්මාණකරුවෙකි. නිවසක් යනු පුද්ගලයෙකුගේ මූලිකම අවශ්‍යතාවය වුවත්, සමාජයක් ලෙස අපට ඊට වඩා බෙහෙවින් සංකීර්ණ වූ ඉදිකිරීම් අවශ්‍ය වේ. මහා පරිමාණ නාගරික සැලසුම්, අහස සිඹින වාණිජ මධ්‍යස්ථාන, සංකීර්ණ කාර්මික පද්ධති සහ සෞඛ්‍ය සේවා මධ්‍යස්ථාන මේ අතර ප්‍රධාන වේ. මෙම සෑම ක්ෂේත්‍රයකදීම Architect කෙනෙකුගේ මැදිහත්වීම අත්‍යවශ්‍ය වන්නේ ඔහු එම ගොඩනැගිල්ලේ "සජීවී බව" සහ "ඵලදායීතාවය" තීරණය කරන ප්‍රධානියා වන බැවිනි.

🎓 𝟬𝟮. බහුවිධ දැනුමෙන් පෝෂිත වෘත්තීය පුහුණුව

වරලත් ගෘහ නිර්මාණ ශිල්පියෙකු අනෙක් ඉදිකිරීම් වෘත්තිකයන්ගෙන් වෙනස් වන්නේ ඔහු ලබන බහුවිධ හා අන්තර්-විනයානුකූල (Multi-disciplinary) පුහුණුව නිසාවෙනි. ඉංජිනේරුවරයෙකු ව්‍යුහයේ තාක්ෂණික ශක්තිමත්භාවය (Structural Integrity) කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු කරන අතර, Architect කෙනෙකු ඒ සියල්ලටම වඩා පුළුල් පරාසයක දැනුමක් සහිතව 'Visionary' භූමිකාවක් ඉටු කරයි. ඔහු වසර හතකට අධික කාලයක් මනෝවිද්‍යාව, සමාජ විද්‍යාව, පරිසර විද්‍යාව සහ නවීන තාක්ෂණය පිළිබඳ ගැඹුරින් හදාරයි. මේ නිසා ඔහුට ඕනෑම සංකීර්ණ ගැටලුවකට නිර්මාණාත්මක විසඳුම් (Problem Solving) ලබා දීමේ හැකියාව පවතී.

🚀 𝟬𝟯. නූතන ලෝකයේ සංකීර්ණ ඉදිකිරීම් අවශ්‍යතා ජය ගැනීම

සංකීර්ණ ඉදිකිරීම් ක්ෂේත්‍රයේදී Architect කෙනෙකුගේ කාර්යභාරය බෙහෙවින් තීරණාත්මක වේ. වාණිජ ගොඩනැගිලි සැලසුම් කිරීමේදී (Commercial Architecture) පාරිභෝගික ආකර්ෂණය වැඩිකිරීම සඳහා ඔහු උපාය මාර්ගිකව අවකාශය හසුරුවයි. හෝටල් සහ නිවාඩු නිකේතන ක්ෂේත්‍රයේදී (Hospitality Design) සංචාරකයින්ට අද්විතීය අත්දැකීමක් ලබා දීමට ඔහු කටයුතු කරයි. මෙහිදී ඔහු භාවිතා කරන 'Sustainable Design' සංකල්ප හරහා බලශක්ති පරිභෝජනය අවම කරන, ස්වභාවික වාතාශ්‍රය උපරිම කරන සහ දිගුකාලීන නඩත්තු වියදම් අඩු කරන නිර්මාණ බිහි කරයි. Architect යනු තාක්ෂණය සහ කලාව එකට යා කරන අත්‍යවශ්‍ය පුරුකක් බවයි.

💎 𝟬𝟰. සාර්ථක ආයෝජනයක සහ නීතිමය වගකීමක සහතිකය

වරලත් ගෘහ නිර්මාණ ශිල්පියෙකු තෝරාගැනීම යනු වියදමක් නොව, එය ඔබේ ව්‍යාපෘතියේ සාර්ථකත්වය වෙනුවෙන් කරන බුද්ධිමත් ආයෝජනයකි. ව්‍යාපෘතියක ආරම්භයේ සිට අවසානය දක්වා ඔහු 'Project Manager' කෙනෙකු ලෙස ක්‍රියා කරමින් ඉදිකිරීම් පිරිවැය අනවශ්‍ය ලෙස ඉහළ යාම වළක්වයි. ලංකාවේ නීතියට අනුව 'Chartered Architect' කෙනෙකුට පමණක් හිමිවන වෘත්තීයමය පිළිගැනීම නිසා ඔබේ සැලසුම සඳහා නීතිමය ආරක්ෂාවක් සහ වගකීමක් හිමි වේ. ඔබ ඉදිකරන්නේ කුඩා ව්‍යාපාරික ස්ථානයක් වුවත්, දැවැන්ත කර්මාන්ත ශාලාවක් වුවත්, එහි ගුණාත්මකභාවය සහ පැවැත්ම තීරණය වන්නේ ඔබ තෝරාගන්නා වෘත්තීය මගපෙන්වීම මතයි.
