Sawed-off the dead graft of sativa x crenata on the C. Sativa mother tree. The graft lasted nearly 9 years and produced some good nuts. I suppose it is long-term incompatibilty!

This chestnut tree always had large lush leaves. This year it looks weakly! Its a C.sativa seedling of about 20 years.

Had to heavily prune this chestnut tree. Both last years heat wave as well as the the previous years chestnut gall wasp infestation weakened it a lot.
