Better Globe Forestry is a forestry implementation platform with over two decades of experience delivering forestry, agroforestry and landscape restoration programmes across East Africa. For more than 20 years, BGF has specialised in dryland forestry, agroforestry and landscape restoration, working with farmers, communities, corporates, governments, foundations and development partners. We combine

forestry expertise, field operations, farmer engagement systems, nursery production, plantation management, monitoring and reporting capabilities to transform forestry and restoration ambitions into practical results on the ground. Today, BGF supports forestry activities across plantations, smallholder agroforestry programmes and restoration landscapes, working with more than 20,000 farmers and operating across Kenya and Uganda. We believe that successful forestry is not a planting challenge, it is an implementation challenge. Our vision is to become Africa's leading dryland forestry implementation company.

Better Globe Forestry was honoured to welcome Matthieu Labeau, Head of the Economic and Commercial Delegation at the Embassy of Belgium in Nairobi in Kenya, and Jo De Witte, Advisor Diplomatic Relations at the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region, for a field visit to our operations in Kiambere.
The visit offered a chance to experience dryland forestry in practice, from walking through our plantations and visiting farmers, to seeing the resilience of Melia volkensii and our ongoing Acacia trials for gum arabic production.
A meaningful reminder that the real impact of forestry is best understood in the field.
