How do you keep one of the world's tallest automated cold storage facilities consistently cold?

The answer lies in combining advanced expertise, sustainable refrigeration, and high-performance cooling technology. In Yancheng, China, a newly operational 62-meter-high cold storage facility relies on 28 LUVE air coolers running on natural CO₂ refrigerant to maintain optimal conditions across its enormous storage volume.

To cool one of the tallest cold rooms in the world, operating between -22 °C and -25 °C, we supplied 24 Defender LS and 4 Vantage FHC air coolers, with patented LUVE technologies such as the TurboFin.

LUVE: EcoVadis Silver Medal upgrade

LUVE has achieved its first EcoVadis Silver Medal, positioning the company among the top 15% of companies assessed globally. This milestone represents a significant improvement in sustainability performance.

The result follows three consecutive Bronze Medals obtained since 2021, confirming a consistent upward trajectory in ESG maturity.

EcoVadis is one of the most widely recognized sustainability assessment platforms, evaluating companies across environmental, social, and governance criteria. Its ratings are commonly used by global partners and investors to assess transparency, risk management, and long-term value creation.

The upgrade to silver reflects our continued efforts to strengthen our sustainability framework, enhance operational practices, and align with international standards, further integrating ESG factors into the business strategy.

Yesterday, our President & CEO Matteo Liberali took part in the conference “Navigating Uncertainty: Businesses and Leadership in the New Global Scenario”, organized by Valtus Italia – Executive Interim Management, Worldwide and ItalyPost, at Palazzo Mezzanotte in Milan.

He joined in the roundtable discussion “Italy in the Global Arena: Challenges and Competitiveness”: a conversation focused on the key factors shaping the positioning of Italy’s industrial system in international markets.

Key topics of the discussion included:

• impact of tariffs
• energy costs
• supply chain resilience
• the strategic value of Made in Italy

Climate Fresk project - highlights
It started with a question: How can we make climate change more understandable, tangible, and personal for everyone?

Over the past months, that question turned into a shared journey across our plants worldwide through the Climate Fresk project.

From Finland to India, from Italy to the Czech Republic, small groups gathered around tables: not for traditional training, but for conversations. Cards were placed, connections were built, and suddenly climate change was no longer an abstract concept, but a story everyone could see, understand, and discuss together.

Since the start of 2026, we hosted 13 workshops, engaging 93 colleagues across Uboldo, Limana, Alonte, Flumignano, Poland, Finland, India, and the Czech Republic. Each session was different, shaped by the perspectives, questions, and insights of those in the room.

Every session shared the same outcome: a deeper awareness and a stronger sense of responsibility.

What made this initiative special was that the sessions were managed by our internal facilitators: A heartfelt thank you to our incredible group:
