Casa 2effe is an apartment located in a newly constructed building in Parma.
Color and a vertically striped texture are one of the main highlights of the project, used with different intensities depending on the space.
The entrance is a dark colored “box” that acts as a filter between the living area and the master suite. As sports enthusiasts, the clients needed ample storage space; thus, a wardrobe and a storage room are hidden behind full-height ribbed doors.
A large wall bookcase separates the entrance from the living area while maintaining visual continuity between the two spaces. The living room is flooded with natural light from a glass wall and features a Carrara marble dining table alongside the main seating area. Two fluted glass sliding doors—which allow light to pass through while reducing transparency—lead to the kitchen and the guest room/study.
The soft-toned kitchen features a custom-designed counter crafted from brushed Brown Antique natural stone. High-intensity color returns in the master bedroom: a flame-red ceiling wraps down onto the walls, creating a decorative element that repeats on the fixed furniture. The feature wall conceals a secret door leading to the walk-in closet and the master en-suite bathroom.
The bathrooms play with shades of green: the master bathroom showcases a Guatemala Green marble sink, while the guest bathroom uses shiny, small-format tiles.
