A physical model of our project for the Locatelli School and Civic Center in Biassono.

The project envisions a place where architecture and nature intertwine, becoming landscape, city, and community. Not a closed building, but a spatial device that educates through experience, guiding students and the wider community on a gradual journey of discovery—of nature, of the city, and of one another.

A school designed to meet the needs of the present while looking toward the future, becoming an integral part of its context while offering the community a new shared landscape.

From the research for the Locatelli School complex in Biassono.

The experimental idea of the garden school from the first half of the 20th century became the starting point for the concept: learning spaces immersed in nature, where landscape and education merge into a continuous spatial experience.

Nature is not a backdrop, but becomes part of the pedagogy itself, shaping spaces for exploration, interaction, and collective learning.

Our proposal for the Cittadella della Sicurezza in Rimini, awarded third prize, transforms the former military compound from an enclosed fragment into an open civic landscape.

The project addresses this condition by making the site traversable and inhabitable. A diagonal public axis cuts through the compound, introducing a sequence of civic programs that establish a new urban front opposite the institutional one. Between these two defined edges - the formal presence of the institutions and an open system of civic infrastructures- a new informal public space emerges. It is a series of squares, recalling the spatial continuity and openness of Rimini’s historic fabric. Spaces designed less as fixed objects than as frameworks for different forms of public life.

Rather than an autonomous object, the project proposes an open system capable of restoring connections and returning public value to the city.
