UPSIDEDOWN VILLA
WORKINGPROGRESS

UPSIDEDOWN is a villa designed around a large impluvium roof, an architectural element that defines the identity of the entire project.
The wide suspended roof creates a continuous external portico, establishing a strong relationship between architecture, light, and landscape.
Beneath the roof, a composition of pure volumes is arranged on two levels: the ground floor hosts the living area, fully opening towards the outdoor spaces, while the upper floor contains the sleeping area, conceived as a more intimate and private dimension.
The project explores the contrast between the monumental horizontal roof and the lightness of the volumes below, creating a balance between protection and openness.
Surrounding the villa, the garden becomes an integral part of the architecture, extending the living spaces outdoors and transforming the portico into a continuous connection with nature.
UPSIDEDOWN interprets living as an immersive experience, wherex the roof is not only a functional element, but the architectural gesture that generates space, atmosphere, and relationships.
