From the first world record set in a Myrtha pool in Canet-en-Roussillon in 1995 to the 200th, achieved by Egor Kornev at the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup in Tashkent, this milestone marks over three decades of unforgettable moments in competitive swimming.

With records set in Myrtha pools across 20 countries and four continents, it's a milestone that celebrates the achievements of extraordinary athletes and our long-standing commitment to providing the best possible conditions for competitive swimming 🏊🏼

The Silk Road Tour reaches its final stop: Astana! 🇰🇿🏊‍♀️

The World Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2026 concludes with three days of racing in a Myrtha pool. From Baku through Tashkent to Astana, we’re proud to have seen our pools welcome swimmers at every stage of the tour.

What does it take to deliver a learn-to-swim pool in such a complex location?

In the latest interview of our Learn-to-Swim series, Patrick Wohlhauser, Branch Manager at Myrtha Pools Switzerland, takes us behind the scenes of the Red Whale project in Geneva.

From structural loads and limited installation space to watertightness, scheduling and coordination with multiple project partners, every detail required careful planning and flexibility.

The most rewarding outcome was completing the project on time, so that children could start learning to swim in a safe and welcoming environment.

World record No. 199 in a Myrtha pool 🚨

South Africa’s Pieter Coetze set a new men’s 50m backstroke world record of 22.09 today in Tashkent, at the second stop of the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2026.

Fast pools for fast swimmers, from Baku to Tashkent and on to Astana next week. All three stops of this year’s Silk Road Tour take place in Myrtha pools, providing the setting for top-level international competition.

From Baku to Tashkent: the Silk Road Tour continues! 🇺🇿🏊‍♀️

The World Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2026 has reached its second stop. Over the next three days, swimmers will compete in a Myrtha pool as Tashkent welcomes athletes from around the world.

We’re proud to see our pool in action and look forward to the racing ahead. Good luck to all the swimmers competing in Tashkent! 💪

198 world records in Myrtha pools, and counting 🏊

At the Baku Aquatic Palace, Egor Kornev equalled the men’s 100m freestyle short-course world record in 44.84 seconds, matching the benchmark set by Kyle Chalmers in 2021.

His performance was a highlight of the opening stop of the 2026 World Aquatics Swimming World Cup, which brought three days of international racing to Baku from 1 to 3 October. The Silk Road Tour now continues in Tashkent and Astana, with all three stops taking place in Myrtha pools.

The College Swimming League (CSL) is underway!

On 24–25 September, eight university teams competed in the Myrtha competition pool at FMC Natatorium at Ty Warner Park in Westmont, Illinois, opening the league’s inaugural season ✨

Across two days of racing, traditional events and elimination rounds brought a new format to collegiate swimming, with men’s and women’s results contributing to a shared team score. Congratulations to Indiana and Virginia on winning the opening matches!

Tomorrow, 2 October, the action continues at Stanford’s Avery Aquatic Center, where California, Stanford, Auburn and Ohio State will compete 🏊🏼

Tomorrow, the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2026 gets under way in Baku 🇦🇿

From 1 to 3 October, the Azerbaijani capital hosts the first stop of the Silk Road Tour at the Baku Aquatic Palace. Swimmers will race in a Myrtha competition pool, now configured for 25 m events. The circuit then continues to Tashkent and Astana, with both stops also taking place in Myrtha pools.

We wish all the swimmers the very best of luck as the 2026 series begins!

How can learning to swim help create safer communities?

In the second part of our interview with Brent Nowicki, CEO of World Aquatics, he reflects on the importance of making swimming education accessible to more children and families around the world.

Speaking about drowning prevention, Brent highlights the role that safe environments, community initiatives and access to swimming lessons can play in building essential water skills.

He also shares how Myrtha pools can support this mission beyond major competitions, creating a lasting legacy by bringing aquatic facilities from global events into communities where they can continue to serve future generations.

We’re pleased to announce our partnership with College Swimming League, a new series of meets featuring elite college teams in a dual-meet format designed to be fan-friendly and TV-ready.

The first-ever CSL event will take place at FMC Natatorium in Westmont, Illinois, on September 24 and 25. Across two days of competition, eight elite college teams will race in the Myrtha competition pool, kicking off the inaugural CSL season.

We look forward to supporting the league as it brings a new format to collegiate swimming.
