Remember the Massenza Mi20 drilling rig for water wells we showed you last week? Things just got even more serious 🔥

To ensure maximum reliability, our workshop and technical team put the rig through a crucial pulling force test to verify its exact capacity and operating performance. The goal was to hit 20000 kg (20 tons), and the Mi20 delivered flawlessly, locking in a max pull of 206 kN🦾 🦾

Performance and operating specs are 100% approved. Next stop... the finished rig reveal and delivery! Stay tuned!

Let’s fly over to Canada, where the expert team at Strata Drilling Group has been putting their Massenza MSPT penetrometer to work on a challenging tight-access site 🦾

Engineered specifically for challenging environments, this rig can be fully disassembled to access tight indoor or outdoor spots with overhead clearance as low as 2.3 m (7’6”). On this specific project, the team successfully completed both 2.1 m (7 ft) and 6 m (20 ft) SPT holes with absolute precision.

Whether it’s SPT, DPL, DPM, or DPH tests, or split spoon, window, and liner sampling, the MSPT drilling rig does it all. Its secret? A smart system of removable drop weights and variable drop heights (500-750 mm) built for ultimate adaptability.

Our team recently traveled to Châtel-Saint-Denis, Switzerland, for the official commissioning and hands-on training of a brand-new Massenza Mi4 drilling rig.

Over two days of intensive field tests, the driller and his assistant mastered the rig's capabilities through various drilling methods, achieving excellent results directly in their yard:

✅ Day 1: testing core drilling with ø 114 mm and ø 127 mm down to a total depth of 15 meters, executed flawlessly using both double-tube and dry coring techniques (ø 137 mm and ø 154 mm).

✅ Day 2: transitioned to water-powered core drilling, running smoothly with zero issues.

We are proud to hand over the keys to such a well-organized company, backed by a highly capable crew and a top-notch workshop. The team is now fully ready to operate the Mi4 at its maximum potential!

Great equipment keeps your business moving forward.

Matteo Massenza caught up with the team at Amato Trivellazioni on-site to check in on their Massenza Mi8, purchased last summer.

In a single day, the Mi8 completed an air-drilled tricone water well to a depth of 110 meters with an 8” diameter (200 mm). But the most impressive metric is the machine's relentless utilization rate: 900 working hours clocked in just nearly 8 months.

This puts the rig on a projection of 1,400 to 1,500 hours per year… an exceptionally high duty cycle for any drilling rig in the industry 🦾

We are thrilled to see how satisfied the customer’s team is with their investment, since they are already looking ahead to future growth by evaluating a new Massenza rig to expand their fleet.

There is something powerful about this Massenza Mi3 drilling rig working 🦾

Maybe it’s the the breathtaking landscapes of Northern Greece, maybe it’s the challenging mission the customer had to face: assessing and stabilizing a suspended railway line, ensuring that every bridge and tunnel is ready for traffic once again.

The scope of the project? To investigate, evaluate, and the design of geotechnical solutions to address existing instabilities, and support the long-term reliability of the railway infrastructure.

Built entirely from high-strength steel and driven by heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders, these clamps are designed to perform no matter what.

❗ The upper clamp is vertically movable upward, and the central section with the double cylinder is for unscrewing rods or casing.
