Back from a week that took us from Buenos Aires to São Paulo for the entrepreneurial mission organized by Confindustria and ITA - Italian Trade Agency, with B2B meetings on 6-8 September and 8-10 September respectively.
Two very different markets, one common thread: the EU-Mercosur agreement is no longer an abstract topic in these rooms. It came up in almost every conversation, from local distributors to industrial end users, as something already shaping investment decisions on power infrastructure, energy reliability and long term equipment sourcing.
What struck me most was how much appetite there is in both countries for high reliability power electronics, UPS, voltage stabilization and industrial energy solutions built to withstand grid conditions that are far from the European standard. Decades of field experience across markets with unstable or weak grids turned out to be exactly the kind of conversation starter that opens real technical discussions, not just polite exchanges of business cards.
A genuine thank you to everyone I met across the two cities, counterparts, fellow Italian companies on the mission and the teams who organized a demanding but very well run agenda in just one week.
