💥 Waterproofing and finishing with a single system?

In Sestri Levante, the project involved renewing the waterproofing of a communal terrace in a residential building. The team supported the applicator in assessing the solution best suited to the requirements of the site.

👉🏻 Following a technical site inspection, the ONE® FLOORING system was selected and airless spray application was recommended, with technical support provided throughout the different stages of application.

ONE® FLOORING is a pigmented, single-component liquid waterproofing membrane specifically formulated to provide reliable waterproofing and long-lasting protection for garages, floors and surfaces exposed to heavy traffic and wear.

💥 How can you protect and renew flooring subject to heavy foot traffic without compromising on aesthetics?

In a hotel, every area has specific requirements: from enhancing the look of common areas to ensuring durable, high-performance flooring in the most heavily trafficked spaces.

📍 This was the case at the Reginna Palace Hotel in Maiori (SA), on the Amalfi Coast, where two different areas were treated with a system.

👉🏻 Meeting room
The flooring was renewed with Winpaint, chosen to refresh and enhance the aesthetics of the space while providing effective surface protection and resistance.

👉🏻 Corridors
Here, the flooring is exposed to heavy foot traffic, as the corridors connect the beach access area with the restaurant, breakfast room and lifts leading to the guest rooms.

For this reason, a compliant, highly resistant resin flooring system suitable for intensive use was required.

The system consisted of:

🔹 Winfix primer: a two-component epoxy resin in water dispersion, with dustproofing and consolidating properties, designed to prepare the substrate for subsequent applications.

🔹 Two skim coats of Unibar Formula Legante, a multifunctional two-component resin with consolidating and waterproofing properties, solvent-free and mixed with quartz aggregate.

🔹 Two coats of Winpaint finish: a coloured, water-based, two-component polyurethane resin for surface protection and finishing. Thanks to its resistance properties, it is also suitable for demanding environments such as workshops, warehouses and food-processing areas.

A solution designed to combine aesthetics, protection and durability, according to the specific requirements of each area.

How do you protect a surface designed to accommodate the public and constant foot traffic?

👉🏻 At a newly built indoor gymnastics facility in Northern Italy, worked on 400 sqm of new stands with a system designed to protect the substrate and meet the technical requirements of an indoor sports environment.

In this context, the system needed to combine protection, a resistant finish, a VOC Free surface and fire reaction requirements suitable for its intended use.

For this challenge, a system was chosen, consisting of:

✅ WINFIX UNIVERSAL, a two-component primer based on epoxy resins in water dispersion, used to prepare the substrate and promote adhesion of the finish.

✅ UNIBAR F, a breathable, two-component, water-based epoxy finish, suitable for coating concrete floors and skirtings, including surfaces exposed to moisture and without a vapour barrier.

A solution selected to protect the new stands with a technical, resistant system, in line with the safety and air quality requirements of indoor sports environments.

The Mondovì sports arena is ready to welcome fans for the new season! 💥

The intervention involved the protection and waterproofing of over 300 sqm of stands, with a clear objective: to make the central grandstand ready for daily public use.

For a surface designed for high footfall, the coating needed to meet specific requirements: eco-compatibility, waterproofing, a VOC Free surface, a suitable coefficient of friction and fire reaction requirements for high-occupancy environments.
