16-Inch Pipeline Tie-In Using Hot Bend

The tie-in work for a 16-inch pipeline using a hot bend involves connecting the existing pipeline to the new pipeline section while maintaining the required alignment and design geometry. The hot bend is positioned and aligned according to the approved drawings, and the pipe ends are prepared by cutting, beveling, and cleaning before fit-up.

After confirming the correct dimensions, orientation, and elevation, the hot bend is fitted between the pipeline sections. The joint alignment and root gap are checked, followed by welding in accordance with the approved WPS.
