House Veiled In Brick is a residential project conceived as a rustic and deeply contextual home, shaped by the textures, climate, and quiet rhythms of its surroundings, while reflecting the grounded and unpretentious way of life of the clients. The design explores privacy, light, and materiality through the careful use of brick as a defining architectural element. It creates a sense of enclosure from the outside while opening up to bright, connected living spaces within. By using brick as both a functional and expressive element, the house establishes a strong architectural identity while responding to its context and climate.

From the river’s edge, the house reveals itself as a quiet extension of the landscape. Stone steps move outward like a measured terrain, guiding the ground toward the water. In monsoon, the river rises and reaches back, narrowing the distance until the boundary almost disappears.

The built form remains calm and restrained, allowing light, breeze, and reflections to pass through. Openings hold glimpses of life within, while the river continues its slow, changing presence. Over time, what is built and what flows beside it begin to read as one continuous edge.
