Special Revision Camps of Panchayat Electoral Rolls held across Kulgam.

KULGAM, JANUARY 15:
On the directions of District Panchayat Election Officer (DEPO) Kulgam, Dr Bilal Mohi ud din Bhat, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) of District Kulgam today conducted Special Camps on Revision of Electoral Rolls at Kulgam, Devsar, DH Pora, Qoimoh and other blocks of the district.

During the programme, EROs and AEROs educated the general public about the procedure for updation of Panchayat Electoral Roll and urged youth who have attained the age of 18 as on qualifying date 01.01.2023, register themselves as voters in Electoral Roll. Further they took stock of the addition, deletions, correction and transposition made by the PEBOs.

EROs emphasized active participation in these special camps for correct updation of voter lists and voters can approach PEBOs ( Panchayat Election Booth Officials) for addition, Deletion, correction or transposition in the panchayat Electoral Rolls within stipulated time.

They further stated that people can also register upto 18th of January 2023 or can approach the designated AEROs for registration.

Dy.DEO, Bilal Ahmad Kamgar informed that till date more than 20000 new voters have been added in the district.

DC Kulgam reviews functioning of Revenue department

KULGAM, JANUARY 12: To review the functioning of Revenue Department and progress made in digitization of Revenue records and masavis, a meeting of all Revenue Officers of the District was today held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat at mini-secretariat, here.

At the outset, the DC took a detailed review of all vital matters including removal of encroachments on Kahcharai and State Land, progress made in digitization of Land records and Masavis, status of Grievances redressal mechanism, status of pending Court cases through RCCMS, implementation of e-Office, etc.

Reviewing the progress of digitization of land records and Masavis, the DC instructed concerned to complete the process before 26th of January.

On the occasion, the DC directed all the Tehsildars to launch anti-encroachment drives on a massive scale in all the Tehsils of the district to retrieve encroached State and Kahcharie land.

He also asked them to activate their field staff to keep proper check and vigil on any kind of encroachments in respective jurisdiction.

The DC directed them to work with added zeal and missionary approach to safeguard State/Kahcharie land from land grabbers, besides ensuring hassle free public delivery system in the district.

With regard to functioning of Grievance Redressal Mechanism, the DC asked all the Tehsildars to ensure quality disposal of all online/offline grievances particularly about Migrant properties in a time bound manner.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Viqar Ahmed Giri, ACR Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz, SDM Noorabad Bashir Ul Hassan, Tehsildars and other concerned officers from Revenue department.
