Some buildings you study from drawings. This one you study by walking through it.
Kolotan School in Barasat was designed by Ar Laurent Fournier, and for five days it doubled as our classroom — bamboo from Ghani Zaman, Pulaha Dasgupta and artisan Dream Landkongjong, brick and bamboo shallow domes from mason Bablu Mistry, Laurent's own detailing from the man himself, and wattle and daub from us.

Thirteen participants, one dome tested and standing.
