CEPT University invites all to the inauguration of the 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲, an exhibition by Studio Archohm, which will be on view at the 𝗟𝗶𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶 𝗟𝗮𝗹𝗯𝗵𝗮𝗶 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆, from 𝟬𝟴 𝘁𝗼 𝟯𝟭 𝗠𝗮𝗿.

Prof. Miki Desai will give the inauguration speech on the work of Archohm followed by a short talk by alum, Sourabh Gupta, principal architect of the studio.
The exhibition will be open to all from 𝟬𝟵 𝘁𝗼 𝟯𝟭 𝗠𝗮𝗿, 𝟭𝟬:𝟬𝟬 𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝟴:𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗺.
This exhibition is reflective of the journey undertaken by a restless practice – Archohm. The exhibition shares anecdotes, trials, and tribulations, that demonstrate the DNA required to build in the public domain in India. It also reinstates how architecture, despite the constraints presented, must attempt to be deeply rooted in theoretical understandings, indigenous practices, and global perspectives.

The exhibition urges a pedagogical dialogue with the practice of architecture, in the context of an era where there is a critical need for private practices to be thought leaders and public architecture to come of age in India.

creating a unique, iconic and sustainable state of the art facility is the main idea behind the design of the proposed jayaprakash narayan international centre. the building has been designed as an extension to the existing ram manohar lohia park.

designed to emerge out this park by flowering the greenery of the park on the building and the merging the building with park, the design of the center enhances the urban fabric of lucknow and aims building that would serve to provide a distinct identity to the city

conceived as a box of raw concrete and wood on the outside and glass and gloss on the inside, the villa narrates a story of the modern progressive aspiration of the client and his grounded partiality to his roots.

despite being located directly on the main road of the complex, the house is deceptively private. In sharp contrast to its fellow residences, it appears to provide the passerby with an introverted and fortified impression.

the façade is a dialogue of concrete and wooden fins extending through the height and width of the house that can expose the glass windows concealed behind them as per the will of the home owners. this gesture brings in the desired amount of light, a controlled view and effective cross-ventilation. the house therefore, can choose to be private or extroverted depending on its appetite for light and air.

the exposition hall in Dilli Haat is designed as extruded semi circles increasing in diameter sequentially to provide multiple entries for visitors and natural light throughout the stretch.

conceived as a state of the art auditorium which also forms an amphitheater on top that can hold an audience, the green and paved amphitheater instantly reduces the huge mass of the auditorium and at the same time helps retain the green cover, helping in heat control.
