Across our work in commercial, office and mixed-use development, we have explored how architecture can create more than functional buildings - creating connected destinations that bring together work, commerce, public life and the urban realm.

This Urban October, we continue our reflection on the role of architecture in shaping vibrant cities, with a focus on creating workplaces and mixed-use environments that are diverse, vibrant and sustainable - built to evolve with the people and communities they serve.

We’re excited to share a closer look at the New Passenger Terminal Building at Jodhpur Airport, inaugurated recently by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

SAA delivered the detailed architectural & engineering design for the project, taking on and developing the concept design by STHAPATI. The new terminal marks a significant step forward for connectivity and aviation infrastructure in Western Rajasthan.

Spanning over 23,000 sqm and designed to accommodate up to 2 million passengers annually, the terminal brings together contemporary aviation infrastructure with the architectural identity of Marwar. Arches, jharokhas, domes and intricate carved elements reinterpret Rajasthan’s rich architectural heritage within a modern airport environment.

Beyond its architectural expression, the terminal integrates energy-efficient systems, water conservation and sustainable design strategies, with the project targeting a 5-Star GRIHA rating.

A contemporary gateway that celebrates the spirit, culture and craftsmanship of Jodhpur - and a project we are proud to have contributed to.

For decades, our work in residential design, masterplanning and large-scale urban development has explored how architecture can create complete communities - places that encourage interaction, support everyday life and contribute meaningfully to the character of a city.

This Urban October, we reflect at some of our projects across the years and reflect on a simple idea: good urban design is ultimately about creating places where people feel connected, supported and at home.

From the arrival experience and landscaped drop-offs to the expansive outdoor recreation areas, the landscape weaves through the development to create a softer, more engaging transition between the built form and the spaces around it.

Play areas, shaded seating, pedestrian pathways and lush planting come together to create an environment designed for different ages and different rhythms of daily life - right from active play to quiet moments outdoors.

Designed as a contemporary residential landmark in Faridabad, Adore Broadway Residences brings together a strong architectural expression with a landscape-led approach to community living.

The architecture is defined by a composed interplay of horizontal balconies, framed volumes and vertical elements, creating depth and rhythm across the façade. Generous openings extend the living spaces outward, while the layered façade gives the tower a distinctive identity at the city scale.

The result is an architecture that seeks to balance openness, everyday living and urban prescence - where the building, landscape and community come together as one cohesive residential environment.

“World Trade Center, New Delhi reimagines the future of commercial space in the capital. The project stands among the capital’s most ambitious commercial developments in recent decades. It introduces a state-of-the-art commercial and office complex to South Delhi, aiming to establish a new urban hub for the city. Spread across a 25-acre site, the WTC ranks among the world’s largest office developments. Its 12 connected office towers accommodate over six million sq. ft. of built-up space.” writes The Architect's Diary, India’s most visited architecture website.
