So… what are those "THOUSANDS OF VERTICAL SUPPORTS" doing under the slab❓❓❓👀

Think of them as the slab’s "TEMPORARY LEGS". 🦵😂

First, these supports hold up the SHUTTERING (temporary formwork).

Then the "STEEL REINFORCEMENT" is placed on top.

And finally… "CONCRETE is poured!"🏗️

The concrete then needs time to gain enough strength. Once it's strong enough, the temporary shuttering and supports are carefully removed.

And tadaaa! ✨

You’re left with the "SOLID RCC SLAB" you see in the second clip.

So those vertical members you saw?

"They were never part of the building. They were just there to help the slab stand until it could stand on its own. 😄"

One step at a time!!🏗️🧱
Say yes before you are ready. Trust yourself before you are certain. One day, you will stand where your doubts once stood and all you'll feel is pride. I almost walked away from this project. Today, I'm grateful I chose courage instead. 🤍

🌿A thought from my journey in design + construction ↓🌿

Over the years of working in design and construction, I’ve realised that a project is never built by one person alone. Good design is important, but what truly shapes a project is the quality of collaboration behind it.

The smoother, more honest, and open the communication is between everyone involved, the more harmoniously a project progresses. In our field, we spend years nurturing a single project, and somewhere along the journey, the work starts reflecting the energy, rhythm, and understanding shared between the people building it together.

As architects, we may lead the vision and design, but the real depth of a project is added collectively through the site engineer, contractor, structural consultant, client, labour team, and every individual working on ground. Every discussion, practical challenge, technical input, and shared experience adds another layer to the project.

I’ve always felt that architecture grows best in harmony, not hierarchy. Because at the end, the strongest projects are not just well-designed  they are well-connected.

What’s your take on this❓❓
