After 32 years of dedicated practice, creativity, and growth, 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐕𝐏𝐀 proudly steps into a new chapter with the inauguration of its larger and more inspiring premises.

What began as a vision has evolved into a design practice shaped by passion, perseverance, and the trust of clients, collaborators, and friends. Over three decades, 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐕𝐏𝐀 has created spaces that reflect thoughtful design, innovation, and a deep understanding of people and place.

This new workspace is more than just an office—it is a reflection of the journey so far and an investment in the future. Designed to foster collaboration, creativity, and excellence, it will enable the team to take on new challenges and continue delivering meaningful design solutions.

Meditation Centre at Trimbakeshwar

The design of the centre is rooted in restraint and sensitivity. Key architectural features include the use of natural materials, sensory minimalism, and thoughtful spatial planning. Every decision — from material selection to lighting design — is carefully considered to minimise distraction and encourage inward focus.

Natural stone, exposed textures, muted tones, and diffused lighting create an atmosphere of calm. The architecture does not impose; it recedes. It allows silence to become the dominant experience.

Landscape as Architecture

The landscape is not an addition but an integral design element. It envelops the built forms, softening boundaries and allowing the structures to dissolve into their surroundings. This integration fosters a seamless dialogue between built and natural environments.

The majestic vistas of the Sahyadri range form the visual anchor of the outdoors. These sweeping views become meditative focal points, grounding the visitor in nature’s vastness. Indoors, simplicity prevails — natural materials and uncluttered spaces provide comfort and subtle warmth, enabling meditators to turn inward with ease and concentration.

Sensory Experience

Water bodies, quiet pavilions, and shaded pathways enhance the experiential journey. Pre-planted trees — now fully grown — create a mature, immersive landscape. Fragrant flower beds gently engage the senses without overwhelming them, adding another layer to the contemplative environment.

The centre ultimately becomes more than a physical space; it is an experience — one that gently guides the visitor from the external world toward an inner search for peace, clarity, and stillness.

𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗦

AN URBAN HOME DESIGNED FOR TWO FAMILIES TO USE AS A SINGLE DWELLING.

A home situated in the Urban jungle of a city meant vertical stacking of spaces.

House of Patterns is the solution to one such Urban Home, where all requirements have been stacked vertically. Use of Voids, Courtyards and spaces where the user can walk barefoot in all seasons ,has given rise to a design where the inhabitants are able to connect and communicate through three levels beautifully. The home is sustainable and reacts climatically, where the jaalis enables ventilation, cuts glare, engulfs greenery and gives privacy. The Terracotta Jaali also casts beautiful patterns during the day, while almost making the home transparent at night.

Biophillic Architecture with Integration of Landscape on each floor and on the terrace has meant that the home with time gets covered with greenery. Use of Perforated Jaalis on bottom and top floor enables ventilation through stack effect (Release of hot air)

THE HOUSE OF PATTERNS thus harmoniously blends with nature, is climatically sustainable , integrates the requirements of the clients while also, connecting them beautifully as a family.

THE HOUSE OF FRAMES

A vastu complaint home on a basic rectangular plot,where locations of main doors & toilets in the correct quadrants was the starting point for planning & minimal side margins were the guiding factors for this design. The "House of Frames " is worked on a simple grid keeping the owners and their specific needs as the primary concern. The “House of Frames” works on exposing the home to landscape and outdoor elements, the frames created shield the rooms from harsh sunlight and other elements in the west and south while allowing the home to connect with nature beautifully.
