Architecture Manifesto
Through the disciplines of Architecture, Landscape, Interior Design, and evolved concepts of ‘Psyche-tectural’ theory (psychetecturism being the conceptual ‘ism’ in which the city is constructed); the practice aims to innovative spatial forms that actively engage, enhance and influence the body, constantly challenging its relationship to the built environment. Industrial Design Manifesto
Working at both ends of the design spectrum, from single pieces made together with craftsmen to mass produced objects developed in collaboration with manufacturers; the studio is not defined by a particular style, but rather by questioning objects while considering their context and cultural associations embedded in them. Each project proposes a simple solution that often involves a narrative aspect. The approach to design is hands on, practical and collaborative. Our designs look to experiment with materials and challenge processes that find application on commercial projects. We don’t tend to stick to a single style, favourite material or formula, but consider design as a craft, where deep understanding of materials, processes and user behavior serve as a knot. We try to bring a sense of simplicity, functionality and elegance to our work.

A world of objects, brought to life by a little divine mischief.

For Janmashtami, we imagined Krishna amidst pieces from our own world of design, our playful Squiggle, sculptural glass jugs, expressive vases and goblets, our handcrafted glass peacock, a striking peacock dagger, and even a chess piece, each finding its place within the story.

What begins as an illustration becomes a meeting of mythology and material, tradition and contemporary design - a playful tribute to Krishna and to the endless possibilities of making by hand.

This Janmashtami, we celebrate imagination in every form.

Wish you a very Happy Janmashtami. 🦚

A Shikhara on the cover of Forbes India.

Thrilled to see our Shikhara chandeliers featured on the cover and across the August 2026 issue of Forbes India as part of this beautiful residence by Shimona Bhansali designed in collaboration with Shimona Bhansali.

Created as customized editions for the home, the Shikharas rise nearly 16 feet, floating above the swimming pool and through the entrance volume.

Layers of hand-blown glass in pink, grey and blue, held within sacred-geometry inspired brass frames, come together at this scale, creating grand compositions of colour, glass and light within the architecture.

A special collaboration with Shimona and a wonderful moment to see the work become part of the story of this home and its cover.

Founder Arjun Rathi speaks about the ethos of Rural Modern Glass—taking stories, objects and traditions from India and asking a simple question: what happens if we make them in glass?

Aarshi Rathi takes the exploration further, looking at glass as a contemporary craft through objects like the glass chess set she designed—because apparently even a game of chess is better in blown glass♟️

Indian stories. Contemporary craft. A little experimentation. A lot of glass.

Day Three at The Wedding Collective ✨

This time, we turned the lens towards the people behind the glass.

Our team shares their favourite pieces, what it means to be part of Rural Modern Glass Studio, and a few moments with the wonderful people who stopped by and experienced the exhibition with us.

Because creating a new language for glass in India is not just about the pieces we make - it’s about the people, stories and conversations that bring them to life.

Here’s to creating an Indian Glass Moment, together.

Day Two at The Wedding Collective ✨

Indian stories, reimagined in blown glass.
From the Ganpati to the Red Fire Horse, created with international glass artists, to our glass garlands—Indian cultural forms being explored in blown glass in ways rarely seen before.

Created at Rural Modern Glass Studio, these collaborations bring international glass artistry together with Indian stories, craft and making—helping shape a new language for contemporary glass in India.

Thank you to everyone who stopped, discovered and shared their excitement with us.

Day 2/3. The Indian Glass Movement continues. ✨

Day One at The Wedding Collective ✨

Glass, but perhaps not as you know it.

Collectible art, lighting, glass jewellery, Indian-inspired objects and the first Vada Pav ever crafted entirely in glass...

Handcrafted in India at Rural Modern Glass Studio, with a little craft, experimentation and fun.

Day 1/3. More glass to come. 🥂

When architects stop by, we pay attention.

Pratik Daulat and from The Blank Slate joined us at Giftex The Collectors’ Cove and spent time with the collection.

A few pieces, a few conversations, and the kind of exchange that reminds us why we make objects in the first place.

Day Two at The Collector's Cove Giftex The Collectors’ Cove

A wonderful close to an inspiring weekend of conversations around contemporary glass art, collectible lighting, and craftsmanship.

It was a pleasure welcoming collectors, architects, designers, close friends, and glass enthusiasts to our booth, sharing the stories behind each artwork and lighting piece, and witnessing the growing excitement around hand-blown glass produced in India.

Every conversation strengthens the growing Indian Glass Movement and encourages us to continue pushing the possibilities of glass as both art and design.

Until the next exhibition.
