A home more than just a constructed space—it is a foundation of dignity, hope, and a secure future. For years, families have held onto the dream of owning a space where they can thrive, live comfortably, and build lasting memories.
Today, we achieve a significant milestone in our quest to bring that vision to life: we have successfully cast the top slab for the second rehabilitation building of one of our projects in Mumbai.
Through this Slum Rehabilitation initiative, we are transforming the lives of those who live in unplanned slum communities by rehabilitating them, free of cost, to permanent homes which they will own. This development comprises 282 units and its residents will enjoy a living in a home complete with basic necessities such as planned sanitation, private toilets, running water, firefighting systems, parking, and electricity, amongst a number of other community facilities, such as a library, creche, and community spaces. This is a fundamental change from the homes the occupied before - single level slum structures with no toilets, no running water, and no drainage - homes which were most susceptible to flooding and fires, in extremely densely packed communities.
Doing important work like this gives our quest more meaning and purpose - that to better the lives of those who live in our developments, no matter what walk of life they come from.
