Feng Shui tips for God Forgotten Attic, Garage and Basements
( An attempt to answer The Attic Query from different sources)
Here is an adaptation of what SantoPietro says of these two places:
Attic: The attic corresponds to the top of your head, the crown chakra and the third eye, and oversees any head-related injuries, strokes, migraines, headaches, eye health, foggy thinking, and more. Do you have a sense of uncompleted issues “hanging over your head?” You might want to clear out your attic.
In Feng Shui, your attic symbolically represents your future.
Basement: The basement corresponds to the first and second chakras of the body, overseeing the ge***al area, bladder, uterus, edema, gout, foot and leg problems, and more, such as influencing difficult pregnancies or problems conceiving, prostate problems, menopausal problems, illnesses of the blood, and any lower-body cancers and tumors. The foundation of your health is affected by whatever is collected in your basement. Keep in mind that energy, like smoke, rises. The foundation of your house, each floor above it, and the foundation of your health are affected by whatever is collected and stored in your basement.
If you think the state of your basement, garage, attic or closets has nothing to do with the state of your energy, you really need to re-think it. Or, better yet, clear out these areas and feel what a huge difference this makes in the state of your home, as well as your own inner state of mind.
Rooms and living spaces that typically represent the major chakras are:
Crown Chakra: Attic, Roof, Rain Gutters
Brow Chakra: Den, Home Office, Windows
Throat Chakra: Living Room, Family Room
Heart Chakra: Kitchen, Dining Areas
Solar Plexus Chakra: Bathrooms, Personal Spaces
Sacral Chakra: Master Bedroom
Root Chakra: Basement, Crawl Spaces
Aura: Porches, Decks, Landscaping, Garages
Attic should have high enough ceilings to function in and stable enough flooring to feel safe walking around. Remove everything you don't need from your attic because what is over your head weighs down on you. Cluttered attic creates a feeling of being under pressure and reflects your higher aspirations. It's hard to feel optimistic about the future when there's so much stuff "hanging over your head" or the weight of the world is on your shoulders.
Best to have Reading room, Exercise, Yoga, or Meditation Studio in the Attic.
Clear the clutter in your basement so healthy energy can circulate underneath you for a strong, supportive foundation.
Remove everything you are storing behind doors and make sure they open smoothly and completely to symbolize new opportunities entering your life.
Hidden clutter includes your garage, closets, basement, or attic spaces. Energy stagnates in storage areas. Closets represent things that are out of sight, unknown, or unrecognized. When we fill our closets with clutter, we stifle our ability to be intuitive and insightful.
Removing that which has lost its usefulness makes room for the new.
