A project close to our hearts…
This farmhouse was built from scratch on bare land, with one guiding idea—to bring the expansive landscape into the interiors as much as possible.
Full-height French windows run throughout the upper level, allowing the outdoors to become an ever-changing backdrop. Standing in the foyer, the main door offers the very first glimpse of the view.
For a farmhouse in such a remote setting, we wanted the interiors to feel rustic, honest and easy to maintain. The ceiling is therefore simply exposed plywood with a natural polish—no fancy veneers, no unnecessary finishes.
At the centre hangs a true family heirloom: an original gas lantern sourced from Chor Bazaar, now electrified to bring it back to life.
To break the expanse of continuous Indian Katni marble, we introduced printed ceramic tiles from NITCO, creating the effect of a rug laid across the entrance floor.
Simple materials, heirloom pieces and a strong connection to the landscape—designed to let the farmhouse feel as natural as its surroundings.
