Sometimes it takes more than 1 iteration.
This is an example of a 3d print gone wrong about 6-7 times until it went right. Each time the speeds, supports, heat settings and a lot more were tweaked to understand how the model works.
Eventually, all comes down to the fact that, know the machine before you think it will always work.

The evolving home lab.
I have been trying to sort and organise a corner of my home as a lab. And this is where I am right now.

The perfect maker space doesn’t exist, you have to supposedly build it.
I run a maker space from my home like a lot of them start, had a weird looking triangular dining table that never fit and served its purpose. Got rid of it, designed and made a simple loose linear study table enough to house two 3d printers and a laptop work desk.
Initially I tried stacking the automatic material system of the Bambulab A1 mimi on top for months and always had issues with multi-colour prints. Finally i figured its best placement is on the right side. So, went ahead and dissected the cabinet so as to only attach an extra part to the existing cabinet because that’s how you make.
In the end, it all looks tidy and organised, at least for now.

Revisiting a Custom CNC router I had made around 2 years ago. It was completely functional but then never put it to use. Took it apart for a complete redesign hoping to use it now on. The gantry was based on aluminium extrusions and wheels combined with lead-screws as a linear actuation system. It was all derived from an already existing open-source design.
