🚫 Solar Myth: “I Need a Special Roof for Solar Installation”

Not true.

Most residential roofs are already designed to handle the load of a person walking on them and solar panels add very minimal weight. A typical solar setup adds only around 30 kg over 2.76 square metres.

The real difference comes from using the right materials.

✅ Always prefer aluminum alloy mounting structures and fittings wherever possible

✅ Aluminum is lightweight and corrosion-resistant

✅ It also matches the aluminum frame of the solar panel, preventing galvanic corrosion

✅ This means better durability and fewer replacement issues over the next 25 to 30 years

While aluminum fittings may cost slightly more initially, they help ensure your rooftop solar system stays strong, safe, and maintenance-friendly for decades.

Two meters. One smart solar solution. ☀️⚡

A factory owner was dealing with rising tariffs (18% increase in 3 years) and unpredictable electricity costs.

So we did something smarter.

Installed one solar plant and used Group Net Metering to offset both electricity bills.

Here’s how the numbers worked:

🔹 Solar Meter (Primary Location)

• Generated & exported: 2,900 units
• Consumed: 500 units
• Surplus: 2,400 units

🔹 Second Meter

• Consumption: 2,800 units

👉 Offset applied:

2,800 – 2,400 = Only 400 units payable

That’s a massive drop in electricity cost.

And that’s not all…

⚙️ Generator also synced → Reduced diesel usage

⚡ Not all solar installations need roof puncturing… and that’s where smart engineering comes in.

Here’s how different roofs are handled 👇

🏠 Flat roofs (very common in Goa)
No drilling at all
We use self-weight ballasts systems that hold the entire structure in place
strong enough to handle winds up to 150 km/h 💨

🏡 Tiled roofs
We use Z clamps with adhesive for a secure and safe installation

🏭 Metal sheet roofs
Mini rails + EJOT screws ensure proper fixing and stability

🔩 Standing seam roofs
Special clamps grip the seams
again, zero puncturing required

Now comes the tricky part 👇

⚠️ Corrugated metal sheet roofs
Yes, puncturing is required…
but we still keep it smart

Instead of making new holes,
we use the already existing self-tapping screws
that go into the purlins

🔧 Using L brackets,
we utilize the same hole
and build the structure from there

And finally
we install the full rail system ⚙️
