The spaces in Plumerias are carefully crafted to capture the brilliance of the lakeshore views and golden lights. Vertical louvres break direct sunlight into shifting patterns across double-height volumes. At the centre, a water courtyard holds three plumeria trees and a stillness that mirrors the backwaters beyond, a quiet in-between space that makes the transition from lake to living room feel entirely natural.

At Plumeria, linear double-height spaces give the volumes a light and airy quality. An uncluttered palette with the occasional pop of colour sings in harmony with nature bleeding in through the boundaries. Vertical wooden louvres manage daylight without closing it out, adding texture to the architectural profile. Every space is planned around the intention of staying connected to the landscape, dissolving boundaries and becoming one with it.

Plumeria is a private lakeside residence, designed for the landscape to take precedence over the built form with the lagoons of Kochi forming its backdrop. Conceived as a floating pavilion, the mass is lifted off the ground plane, preserving existing trees, allowing nature to flow through its niches and voids. A water courtyard housing three Plumeria trees extends the lake visually into the living space, offering unobstructed, framed vistas of the water.
A deliberate play of levels elevates the structure for expansive views, and fragmented volumes create a gradual, layered approach from ground to roof.
