There is a kind of love that asks nothing back.

The tree does not wonder if you will visit tomorrow. The soil does not measure how long you stay. They simply hold you — the way home does, the way this land has always known how to.

Today, as the flag rests gently against green — hand-woven, unhurried, made by someone's patient hands — we are reminded that freedom was never only about a nation. It was also about learning to love without conditions. To love the earth beneath us. The people around us. And quietly, without needing permission, to love ourselves too.

Perhaps that is the truest kind of belonging — not owning a place, but being held by it.
