Arora Hospital | Maternity Floor, 4000 sq. ft., Bhogpur, Punjab, came to us midway through construction. The brief: a boutique sensibility, with details to elevate the experience of delivering a baby.

Client references introduced ideas we hadn’t seen before. Some were challenging to execute, leading to personal, interactive and site-specific details. Not every idea can be sourced off the shelf. Custom, fit-to-space details are where our forte lies.

The key constraint was adaptive reuse: merging the new maternity floor with the existing hospital, with minimal intervention for maximum impact. A glimpse into the making. More of the story to unfold.

Whispering Willows is a toddler play space designed around softness, scale and a sense of whimsy. Rounded corners, curved forms and pale timber create a warm, continuous visual language.

A muted palette of peach, blush and sage keeps the base restrained, while smaller elements introduce colour and character. At the centre, a custom-built tree anchors the space, its layered canopy filtering light and adding depth.

Bunting, beads and hanging elements bring texture and playful detail, creating a setting that encourages toddlers to move, explore and discover while keeping the overall space calm and cohesive.

The right detail doesn’t always exist off the shelf.

Some are engineered to float, others shaped and fabricated specifically for the space. Each intervention was developed in response to the brief, considering scale, function and materiality.

A kindergarten project shaped by constraints, where existing elements became opportunities for a new design language.

Retained floor tiles were extended into a continuous, snake-like pattern, preserving their original character. An existing pool was transformed into a jungle gym and oversized ball pit, while a barn-shaped doorway, arched built-in storage, and other playful details gave the space its distinct identity.

Not every idea can be sourced. This is where our forte lies — creating custom, space-specific details that enhance both the design and the experience.
