A contemporary expression of calm, proportion and material restraint, the Guest Accommodation at the Dragon Palace Temple Complex, Nagpur, is conceived as a quiet architectural counterpoint to the spiritual character of its setting.
The building is defined by a strong linear composition, disciplined structural rhythm and a deep projecting roof plane, creating a distinctive horizontal datum while providing shade and climatic protection. A finely articulated façade grid, generous openings and a textured stone-clad base establish a dialogue between solidity and transparency.
A recessed entrance beneath a deep timber-toned canopy creates a sheltered threshold and a clear sense of arrival, while terraces, covered walkways and landscaped courts extend the experience of the building beyond its enclosed spaces.
The architecture is grounded in a restrained material palette and a strong connection to the landscape, creating a guest environment that is contemporary, contemplative and deeply rooted in its cultural context
