India’s metro rail journey is moving at an extraordinary pace, and AGGCON is proud to have been part of this remarkable journey as a rental partner across all metro projects. Today, metro services are operational across 24 cities, covering 1,065 km, with five more projects adding another 955 km in the pipeline.
Recently, Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Manohar Lal highlighted India’s rapid expansion in metro rail, noting that India currently ranks third globally, after China and the United States, in terms of metro network length, but will soon surpass the US.
AGGCON has been associated with this remarkable journey from the very beginning, starting with the first Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) project under L&T Construction, covering three packages—Seelampur, Shastri Park and ISBT—and continuing to support metro projects across the country.
“We extend our sincere gratitude to all the construction companies and the heads of various metro projects for giving us the opportunity to contribute to this transformative infrastructure movement,” said Mr. Jitender Aggarwal.
He further added, “The rapid expansion of metro rail reflects India’s clear policy focus on building modern, sustainable and inclusive urban infrastructure. Metro networks are not merely transportation projects; they are enablers of economic growth, better connectivity and improved quality of life. As the network expands across the country, the Indian Metro is emerging as a vital component of India’s infrastructure story and a key enabler of PM Narendra Modi's vision for Viksit Bharat.”
From Delhi to the growing metro networks across India, we are honoured to play our part in building the infrastructure that moves the nation forward.
