A beautiful render is a promise. Drawings are how you keep it. Forty sheets of them, from the drawing index and setting out plan through flooring layouts, reflected ceilings, wall elevations, joinery internals, right down to a 45 degree splay on a drawer handle and the fixing detail for a profile light.

Then the FF&E schedule, where every loose piece gets a code, a dimension, a specification, a finish, and a place to sit. LR-01 through LR-12 in the living room alone. The green encaustic you saw in Part 2 becomes a tile layout with a border, a pattern, and a starting point on the floor. The brass becomes a fixture schedule with

A feeling, turned into a material language.

The concept was simple to say and harder to hold: Indian heritage, held lightly. A home rooted in Deccan craft but composed with modern restraint, so it reads as calm rather than ornate, layered rather than decorated.

Everything grew from one quiet palette. Green encaustic underfoot like a garden drawn indoors. Aged brass that glows with age rather than shines. Rosewood-toned timber, ivory limewash, terracotta jali to filter the light. Every material in conversation with the next, nothing competing.

This is Part 2 of 3, the concept and the moodboard. The moment a brief becomes something you can almost touch.

Next: the actual drawings and the FFE schedule. The part that proves it is all real and buildable.

There’s something incredibly powerful about a client who chooses to trust the process.

This penthouse project has been all about embracing character over convention. The bathrooms were never meant to be subtle ,they were designed as immersive spaces, where every surface adds to the experience. From bold patterned flooring to layered textures, rich tones and expressive materials, each element was carefully composed to feel both curated and unapologetic.

Maximalism can easily feel overwhelming, but when done right, it becomes deeply intentional. It’s not about adding more , it’s about creating meaning in every detail.

As designers, we can only push boundaries when our clients allow us to. When they don’t question every decision, but instead trust the vision and the journey.

These sketches and renders are a glimpse into that process where ideas take shape, evolve, and slowly turn into spaces that feel truly one of a kind
