Vannam | வண்ணம் :: BALCONY & Common areas
Introducing our latest project ‘Vannam’ meaning colour in Tamil. This is a bright and colourful home located in a calm and quiet neighbourhood of Chennai. Every nook and corner of this apartment interior is vibrant and exudes warmth , fulfilling my client’s requirement of a functional home with a warm and inviting feel.

This home has two small balconies overlooking the common areas of the building. The Jaisalmer yellow tiled flooring of the living & dining continue into the balconies with the central portion demarcated by a mix of patterned handmade tiles. The walls have deliberately left blank for my clients to add their own personal touch as and when they begin to live here.
There is a passage leading to the master suites of the home , the walls flanking the passage have been adorned with personal photographs from my client. The junction between the two rooms have a crockery unit . The special feature here is the use of pocket doors in the top half of the cupboard. These doors can be neatly tucked away when in use and it doesn’t interfere with people walking in that area

Introducing our latest project ‘Vannam’ meaning colour in Tamil. This is a bright and colourful home located in a calm and quiet neighbourhood of Chennai. Every nook and corner of this apartment interior is vibrant and exudes warmth , fulfilling my client’s requirement of a functional home with a warm and inviting feel.

The bedrooms of this home follow a design language which is in stark contrast to the rest of the home. The colour palette used here is much softer, and muted in comparison with the bright and rich tones seen in the common spaces .

Neelam | நீலம்: The blue room. The four poster bed is the focal point of this room , and the drapes that envelop the bed add a dreamy feel to the space. Another striking feature of this room is the window side unit , with a lot of storage inbuilt and the three arches with inbuilt lighting which adds to the charm of this room. The hand painted wooden k***s used in the dresser is our favourite detail and so are the globe lights seen on either side of the bed.

Rose | ரோஸ் : This bedroom has a soft blush pink colour scheme. The window seat we designed for this room is definitely the best spot of this room. The wardrobe shutters have wallpaper sandwiched between glass panels. We used some tile offcuts for the dressing mirror which adds some interest to the space.

Vannam | வண்ணம் :: KITCHEN
Introducing our latest project ‘Vannam’ meaning colour in Tamil. This is a bright and colourful home located in a calm and quiet neighbourhood of Chennai. Every nook and corner of this apartment interior is vibrant and exudes warmth , fulfilling my client’s requirement of a functional home with a warm and inviting feel.

The kitchen which is the heart of this home is an open plan design with no doors concealing the space. This open kitchen was part of the builder’s design and my clients went back and forth on whether to close the space or to retain as it is. We are happy with this outcome and as the space is very narrow this was probably the best decision. The wall demarcating a store room part of the kitchen was broken down and the kitchen was extended to accommodate a fridge and a baking storage unit. We love that we could bring our favourite kuruvi lights here as well.

Vannam | வண்ணம் :: Pooja / Prayer Unit
Introducing our latest project ‘Vannam’ meaning colour in Tamil. This is a bright and colourful home located in a calm and quiet neighbourhood of Chennai. Every nook and corner of this apartment interior is vibrant and exudes warmth , fulfilling my client’s requirement of a functional home with a warm and inviting feel.

The Prayer unit here is elaborately designed and acts as a focal point of this home. We sourced the carved chettinad door frame from an antique store on the east coast road in Chennai and designed everything around it. The stepped profile seen on both sides of the frame was done to mimic the actual design seen on the original frame. The two laser cut panels seen in the middle of the door were executed by .

Introducing our latest project ‘Vannam’ meaning colour in Tamil. This is a bright and colourful home located in a calm and quiet neighbourhood of Chennai. Every nook and corner of this apartment interior is vibrant and exudes warmth , fulfilling my client’s requirement of a functional home with a warm and inviting feel.

The dining area of this home is quite busy with a lot happening here ! We have an elaborately designed Pooja /prayer unit, a lovely open kitchen, a small crockery/ display cabinet and a dining table all accommodated here. Our favourite detail in this space is the framed entrance from the living to the dining where we have used colourful channapatna spindles from to inject more colour and depth to this space.
