This Wednesday at Studio Uli, we’re hosting Ar. Thameel Saifudhin—Architect and CEO/Principal Designer at Lamtain—for The Language of Light.

In this session, Thameel will share his journey in the lighting industry, the creative process behind lighting design, and the challenges and insights that come with designing and executing lighting for architecture.

Conceived as a space for rest and reconnection, the design focuses on simplicity, restraint, and timeless materials, with a palette of neutral tones that complements the surrounding landscape.

We hosted Co:Brew – The Architects Coffee Hour at our studio. A laid-back gathering for our architect friends, where conversations stepped away from drawings and deadlines (well, mostly) and leaned into something more relaxed. By day, it’s an architecture studio; by night, it turned into a party space—how cool is that?

Our main man from Putt Brewing walked us through the world of coffee, brewing fresh cups for everyone while we explored and tasted different blends ourselves. We also had Shop Compassion share their journey, setting up a beautiful thrift space and sparking meaningful conversations around mindful consumption.

To top it all off, there were cakes from Serene Bakes and some indulgent mac and cheese from Just Loaf—adding the perfect flavour to Co:Brew. And as the night picked up, we all grooved to DJ Shaiq, bringing the perfect energy to the space.

Big thanks to Grohe x Lixil for collaborating with us and helping bring this brew night to life.

Last week, we hosted Co:Brew – The Architects Coffee Hour at our studio.
