On August 26, 2026, a glacier collapse in the Himalayas triggered catastrophic flash floods across Nepal's Nuwakot district, sweeping away homes, roads, and bridges along the Trishuli River. In the middle of that destruction, one turquoise house in Trishuli Bazaar kept standing — while a family sheltered on its upper floors and waited for rescue. It's now known across the world as Nepal's "Miracle House."
It wasn't luck. It was engineering.
