The heart of this home isn’t inside—it lies under the open sky.

Conceived as an elevated pind a rustic village inspired retreat above the city the terrace is a celebration of Punjab’s rich cultural heritage.

Folk murals animate the walls, bamboo roofing filters the sunlight, and terracotta flooring, paired with mud-plastered walls, evokes the warmth and simplicity of traditional village homes.

Fortress-like parapet walls provide privacy while echoing the architecture of old Punjabi homes. Built-in seating invites long conversations, while a rustic chulha corner celebrates age-old traditions. A handcrafted partition made with traditional pankhi sourced from Punjab introduces vibrant colour and craftsmanship.

Under the open sky, past and present come together effortlessly a space where memories are made, traditions are cherished, and the spirit of Punjab lives on.

Warm textures meet bold hues in the master bedroom.

Wooden rafters celebrate the sloping roof, adding warmth and character, while a striking cobalt blue console introduces a vibrant pop of colour.

The same rich blue is echoed in the balcony’s patterned tiles, creating a seamless visual connection between the indoors and outdoors.

The existing wooden louvered wardrobe was thoughtfully refurbished with cane laminate and neutral colour lending it a lighter aesthetic.

Handcrafted blue stained-glass bifold doors leading to the walk-in wardrobe complete the palette, adding a timeless charm.

The existing bulky storage was reimagined with elegant arched niches, softening its presence while adding visual interest.
A concealed sliding door leads to a private dressing area, while a single bed with a pull-out trundle maximizes functionality.
A whimsical tree-inspired wallpaper completes the space, lending it a dreamy, nature filled charm to the space.

Patterned, colourful tiles bring vibrancy underfoot, while a traditional swing offers the perfect spot to unwind. A striking combination of cement jali and colourful stained glass filters sunlight into the space, casting playful patterns and creating a warm, nostalgic corner.

A Jharokha-inspired window creates a beautiful visual connection between the living and dining areas, reimagining a traditional architectural element in a modern setting.

The TV unit becomes more than just a functional piece. Crafted with curved brick textures and traditional cane shutters, it introduces warmth, texture, and a handcrafted character that feels both timeless and contemporary.

In the foyer, we enhanced the existing storage units by adding more functionality while refining their visual appeal.
The original wood finish felt quite heavy, so we reimagined it in a lighter PU finish to create a brighter and more welcoming entrance.
Also vibrant stained-glass inserts and a thoughtfully chosen seating cushion introduce just the right amount of colour, setting the tone for the rest of the home.
