Building upon what already exists.
This residential project explores the possibility of creating something new without erasing what came before. Instead of replacing the existing structure, we chose to retain it and introduce a new volume above, allowing the old and the new to coexist as part of a single architectural expression.
The design is a dialogue between two distinct layers — the existing structure carrying its own history and character, and the new intervention responding to contemporary needs of space, light, function, and living. Through this approach, the project becomes not just an addition, but a thoughtful transformation of what was already there.
For us, architecture is often about finding the balance between preservation and intervention, memory and change, context and possibility.
