מתרגשים לשתף אתכם בפרויקט חדש שיוצא לדרך והיינו שמחים שתקחו בו חלק!!
בפתיחתו של שבוע האיור 2019 תיערך תערוכה בתחנה המרכזית החדשה בתל אביב בשיתוף עם קבוצת ״הפיל הלבן״ וקבוצת אוף-טופיק.
לראשונה שבוע האיור קורא לאמנים, מאיירים, אמני גרפיטי, מעצבים, אדריכלים ויוצרים מכל התחומים לקחת חלק בתערוכת פוסטרים מאויירים שתתקיים בחלל הקולנוע הנטוש שבתחנה המרכזית בנושא:

פיל לבן הוא כינוי לנכס רב ערך לכאורה, אשר הופך לעול ולמעמסה. מקור הביטוי בפילים לבקניים נדירים שמצויים בדרום מזרח אסיה. מדובר בחיה הנחשבת כקדושה, כזו
שאסור לפגוע בה ויש לדאוג למחסורה. זאת למרות העובדה שאינה מביאה תועלת ועלות אחזקתה גבוהה.
התערוכה שואבת השראה מהמקום בו היא מתקיימת – התחנה המרכזית.
מתחת לפני האדמה, בממעמקי התחנה המרכזית, מסתתר לו חלל שננטש ונשכח אי שם בהיסטוריה התל-אביבית. לאורכו של חלל זה עומדות תיבות אור ריקות אשר שימשו להצגת הסרטים שהוקרנו בבית הקולנוע.
את תיבות אלו יחזרו לקשט 50 פוסטרים נבחרים חדשים המציגים את המושג "פיל הלבן" בראי האמן.

קצת על קבוצת הפיל הלבן: אקוסיסטם תחת קורת גג אחת.
בימים אלו מוקם פרויקט הפיל הלבן שמטרתו להפיח חיים בקומה הראשונה הנטושה של התחנה המרכזית
החדשה בת"א. ההאב יהווה בית לאמנים, עמותות, ארגונים חברתיים וחברות סטרט-אפ. חללי החנויות הנטושות יוסבו לחללי עבודה משותפים ברי השגה ואולמות הקולנוע למתחם כנסים ואירועים.אזורים נוספים ישופצו לסנדנאות עבודה בחומר, סטודיו וגלריות לאמנים ועוד.
אוף-טופיק הינה קבוצת אדריכלים צעירים אשר יוזמים פרויקטים שמטרתם להשפיע על המרחב הציבורי ודוגלים בשיתופי פעולה עם אמנים מכל התחומים - דברו איתנו אם יש לכם רעיונות!
ייחודו של פרוייקט זה הוא בהזמנת הצופים ועוברי האורח ליהנות מחוויה אורבנית ולגלות מחדש חלל שנשכח.
התערוכה תפתח לקהל הרחב באירוע פתיחה חגיגי ותהווה חלק מאירועי שבוע האיור בנובמבר 2019.
הגשת מועמדות כרוכה בהגשת תיק עבודות ובצירוף טקסט קצר המסביר את הרעיון / כוונה בעבודה שתציגו.
אם ברשותכם עבודה מוכנה שעשיתם בעבר שעשויה להתאים לנושא – צרפו אותה כמובן.

העבודות ידרשו להתאים לפורמט פרינט גדול – מידות מדוייקות ישלחו בהמשך לאמנים אשר יבחרו להשתתף.

At the opening of Tel-Aviv Illustration Week 2019, an exhibition will be held at the new central bus station in cooperation with the The White Elephant group and OFF TOPIC.
For the first time, the Illustration Week calls on artists, illustrators, graphic designers, architects, and creators to take part in an exhibition to be held in the abandoned cinema space at the central station on the topic:

A white elephant is a nickname for a burdensome possession - one that is more trouble than
it is worth.
The expression origins from the rare albino elephants which were regarded as holy in ancient
times in Asian countries. Keeping a white elephant was a very expensive undertaking sincethe owner had to provide the elephant with special food and provide access for people who wanted to worship it even though it is of no use and the cost of maintenance it is high.
The exhibition draws inspiration from the venue it takes place in - the New Tel-Aviv Central Bus Station.
Underground, in the depths of the bus station, is a space that has been abandoned and forgotten somewhere in the history of Tel-Aviv. Along with this space are empty light-boxes that were used to display the films screened in the cinema.
These boxes will be hosting 50 new illustrated posters featuring the concept of "white elephant" in the artist's reflection.
The White Elephant - One ecosystem under one roof.
These days, the White Elephant Project is being established in order to revive the abandoned first floor of Tel Aviv's new Central Bus Station. The hub will become home to artists,
associations, social organisations, and start-ups. The abandoned shops will be converted into affordable workspaces and the cinema halls to a conferences and events venue. Additional areas will be renovated for artisanal workshops, studios and artists' galleries, among others.
OFF TOPIC is a group of young architects who initiate projects influencing the public space through cooperation with multidisciplinary artists.
The uniqueness of this project is to invite the spectators and passersby to enjoy an urban experience and rediscover a forgotten space. The exhibition will open to the public at a festive opening event and will be part of the events of the Tel-Aviv Illustration Week in November 2019.
The submission of an application involves submitting a portfolio, along with a short text that explains the idea/intention of the work you will present.
If you have a ready-made job that you have done in the past that might fit the subject - add it, of course.
Submissions will be collected until the 31th of July at: [email protected] attached with a full name and a planned work technique.
The works will be required to fit into a large print format - precise measurements will be sent later to the artists who will choose to participate.
It is important to note that the printing costs will be paid by us for the exhibition participants
