Planting design goes far beyond choosing plants.
It begins with understanding the site, the architecture, and the people who live there. Heights, volumes, and layers are carefully planned to create privacy, define spaces, frame views, and bring greenery into the home.
Here, a Mediterranean palette combines classic, subtropical, and succulent species with an open lawn, gravel paths, and natural stone.
Every garden is different. Each one is shaped through a thoughtful planning process to create a landscape that belongs to its place, its architecture, and its people.

The starting point was an existing house & garden, alongside a new garden designed for a Wellness Pool House on the same property.
The client’s vision was to connect the two areas through lush tropical planting and mature trees, creating a resort-like atmosphere within an urban setting.
The patio connects the garden with the wellness spaces on the lower level.
The outdoor path to the gym and sauna leads through dense, wild planting, which is also fully visible from inside.
The pool was designed as part of the same wellness concept, with optional heating and an integrated massage area.
Together, the existing garden, the new landscape & the wellness spaces form one continuous environment, connected through planting.

A compass rose is a map that defines position and direction according to the cardinal points. This is where the story of this garden began.
The planting concept was born from the homeowner’s love for a tropical feeling, succulents, bold and expressive foliage, and a resort-like atmosphere. Alongside this, the need for privacy was a key factor in the design and influenced the plant selection, density, and spatial division.
Each part of the garden was designed individually, with its own character and planting palette, while still forming one continuous whole that wraps around the house from all sides.

The pool is set slightly below the level of the house, surrounded by steps and planting, allowing the view from the living room to extend through the garden and out toward the open agricultural landscape beyond.
Greenery enters the house from almost every direction: through a large living room window framing a mature Tecoma tree, through the frangipani trees in the patio, an English courtyard with planted metal terraces, and garden pockets that accompany the rooms and passages throughout the house.
The large openings, mature vegetation, and connection between the different levels create a continuous flow between the house, the garden, and the landscape.
Here, the garden is part of the architecture, the view, and everyday life in the house.

A challenging yet enjoyable landscape project spanning 800 sqm.
The garden features architectural elements, including floating stairs, connecting bridges, and an elevated swimming pool with a hydraulic movable floor. A steel canopy bridge extends from the entrance steps to the front door, integrating Basaltina stone stepping slabs.
At the heart of the garden, the elevated pool reflects the architecture, creating a sculptural focal point experienced both outdoors and from within the house. The pool is clad in basalt stone imported from Italy, highlighted with terrazzo joints.
The paving design draws inspiration from the project’s contemporary architectural language, creating a seamless connection between the house and its surrounding landscape.
The planting palette takes its cues from the exposed concrete and the architectural character of the home, bringing balance and harmony to the garden.

A natural ecological swimming pool designed as an integral part of the landscape.
A planted wetland filters the water before it flows gently over a waterfall and back into the pool, creating a continuous natural cycle.
Surrounded by stone, native planting and open views, the pool becomes the heart of the garden and a place where everyday family life unfolds.

Four years after the project was completed, we returned to see how the garden has evolved.
Designed for a private residence in central Israel, the landscape was conceived as a calm, refined, and timeless outdoor environment, with the swimming pool forming the heart of the composition. Every seating area, pathway, and gathering space is carefully organized around it.
Travertine stone surfaces define the outdoor spaces, while corduroy-finish plaster walls introduce texture and material depth. The planting scheme was designed to evolve naturally over the years, allowing the landscape to become richer with time.
Terminalia trees frame the entrance, mature Pittosporum trees provide shade over the seating areas, Liquidambar trees bring seasonal character, while layers of bamboo and lush planting create privacy, depth, and softness throughout the garden.
Today, four years later, the original vision has fully matured.
The trees have grown, the planting has settled into place, & the materials have become an integral part of the landscape, just as they were intended to.
This carousel brings together two moments in time: the original project photography alongside new video footage captured four years later. The same design, now enriched by time, growth, and nature.

In the renovation of this one-acre property, our goal was to create a landscape that reveals itself the moment you look outside.
By carefully reshaping the topography, we gently raised the lawn so it reads as a soft green hill flowing from the house into the garden.
The mature vegetation surrounding the property became the starting point for the design. Rather than competing with the existing landscape, we embraced it, extending the layers of greenery so the new garden feels naturally rooted in its surroundings.
At the heart of the composition, the pool introduces a calm horizontal line that balances the richness of the planting. Reflections of the surrounding trees deepen the sense of space, while the light stone paving frames the water and allows the landscape to remain the dominant element.

A garden renovation shaped by the natural topography, a green space of movement, discovery and calm.
Because of the height difference between the street and the house, wide stone steps and paths were created, surrounded by natural rocks and soft planting that gently blends the built space with the landscape.
Walking through the garden happens slowly and naturally, with paths that appear between layers of plants, quiet seating areas and moments of discovery along the way.
The planting combines grasses, flowering plants and Mediterranean plants with tropical touches, creating a rich and living garden that changes through the seasons.
At the center of the garden, the pool blends naturally into the landscape. A long and quiet water surface reflects the trees, the sky and the house, bringing a feeling of calm and flow to the outdoor space.
The lawn was shaped to follow the natural topography, trees create soft shade, and the garden feels like a series of moments, views, seating areas, movement and quiet, a place that feels natural, calm and full of life.
